Forest Flourish

Supporting children and young people to understand their emotions, build confidence and flourish.

Forest Flourish provides creative, supportive sessions to help children and young people understand and manage their emotions.

Through calm, child-led sessions using creative activities such as art, craft and reflective play, I support children to explore their feelings, develop emotional regulation strategies, and build confidence in themselves.

Sessions are tailored to each child, depending on what feels most comfortable and supportive.

Flexible, Child-Focused Support

Children often feel most comfortable in familiar or calming environments, so sessions can take place:

  • At home

  • In a community space

  • Outdoors in nature

  • Online where appropriate

I currently work with families across the Forest of Dean and the surrounding area including Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire and Herefordshire.

Emotional Wellbeing Support

At Forest Flourish, I offer individual sessions designed to support children who may be struggling with big emotions, anxiety, or emotional regulation. I can also offer group workshops too.

Sessions may support children who:

  • Experience anxiety about school or daily life

  • Are neurodivergent and navigating emotional regulation

  • Have recently finished a programme such as Young Minds Matter, and would benefit from additional support

  • Are home educated and would benefit from creative wellbeing sessions

  • Need a safe, supportive space to talk and explore emotions

Sessions use creative and practical approaches to help children express themselves and learn strategies they can use in everyday life.

Each session is adapted to the individual child and may include:

  • Creative activities such as art and craft

  • Emotional literacy work

  • Exploring feelings in a safe and supportive way

  • Learning practical regulation and coping strategies
